Gingerbread
houses are the architectural wonder of the
baking world, and every year around the
holidays, many variations in form and
presentation spring up everywhere, including
Downtown Hollister! With the rich choice
of ingredients, baking aids, and decorative
items, imaginative cooks can create the most
spectacular gingerbread houses and centerpieces.
Our Gingerbread House Contest is open to all.
There is no entry fee and there are only two
rules.
To
enter, simply complete an application and return
it to the Hollister Downtown Association by
Friday, November 30, 2007. You will be
assigned a host business once your application
is processed.
Voting
will occur between Friday, December 7th and
Friday, December 14th. A People's Choice
Award will be given to the Gingerbread House
with the most votes, so notify all your friends
and tell them to come downtown and vote for
yours. In addition, judges will vote and
give awards in the following categories,
including Best of Show.
