Promotion Committee |
|
Updated
04/01/2008
- The Promotion Committee is currently working with KBAY and
Mix 106.5 on a program proposal suited to the economic
restrictions of downtown Hollister that will be successful
with participation from as few as seven merchants and the
HDA. The newest Membership Brochures are currently
being distributed, and additional copies are available at
the HDA office. A Press Release Kit is being prepared,
including a piece on each of the HDA's significant events
and the media options with contact information and
deadlines. This will enable timely Press Releases in
the future.
Chair - Barbara Scott

provided by Symmetry Design for buildings owned by Clarice

complete this project. Distribution is expected to

concerning the Mills Act during the next Study Session where
time is available.

Economic Restructuring Committee |
|
Updated 04/01/2008
- The Economic Restructuring Committee recommended to the HDA
Board that a letter in favor of a downtown
location for the new court house (rather than
the State Advisory Committee's recommendation of
a site on Flynn Road) be sent to State
Representatives. The Committee also agreed
that the city of Hollister needs a new RFP for
the 400 Block project. The campaign for
the Measure U exemption for downtown is moving
forward. Hopefully, it will be on the
November ballot.
Chair - Jerry Muenzer (Muenzer's Cyclery
& Sports Center)
Current committee
members: Tod DuBois (DuBois Redevelopment), Gordon Machado
(Rustic Turtle Embroidery Works), Rick Maddux
(Maddux Jewelry), Mark Paxton (The Pinnacle Newspaper),
Ray Pierce (Coldwell Banker Real Estate), Jeff Pyle (City of
