A New Year is Here!
A new year brings new opportunities to serve our community. What is on the calendar for downtown Hollister? I’m glad that you asked. We kick off the year with our Winter Quarterly Breakfast on Wednesday, January 25 at 7:30 am. This is a gathering to inform our membership of upcoming events, pertinent downtown happenings and to discuss relevant “hot topics” affecting downtown which leads to interesting discussion and collaboration among our leaders. This meeting will be held at Paine’s Restaurant and is sponsored by PG&E. Next up is our Nibble and Network on Wednesday, February 22.Our gracious host is St. Francis Retreat. We will start a tour of the facility and networking at 8:00 am. Admission to this event is free and is open to everyone.
Spring arrives and then it is time to get to work with our Annual Downtown Spring Clean-up on Saturday, April 15th from 8:30 to 11:30 am. Bring your cleaning and gardening tools and lend a hand in doing a clean-sweep of 12 blocks in our downtown district! If this sounds like fun to you, give us a call so we can out you on our volunteer list, which helps us determine block assignments for the morning. This a perfect project for youth groups and service clubs or groups! We gather at the 400 block of San Benito Street for check-in and logistics. We invite you to come join us for a wonderful day!
May brings our ever popular Downtown Wine and Beer Stroll, to be held downtown from 1:00 – 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 6.This event is known to sell out so make sure that you get your tickets early. This tasting event gathers our best local wineries and breweries and makes for a fantastic afternoon in downtown Hollister where we hope that you will stay for a little shopping and dining in one of our local restaurants.
If you have questions about our events or would like to volunteer, please contact our office at 636-8406 or visit our website www.downtownhollister.org.Sign up for our “e-blast” on our website for weekly updates on what is happening with our members and downtown.
