We would like to welcome two of our newest businesses to San Benito Street, Hollister House Bar & Grill and American Armory. Farmhouse Café has expanded their hours; they are now open 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, 7 days a week. We are always excited to watch the entrepreneurial spirit in action downtown. We hope that you will have a chance to come downtown and see what they are all about.
Our next Nibble and Network is on Wednesday, March 22. Our gracious host is Chamberlain’s Children Center (1850 San Benito Street). Admission to this event is free and is open to everyone. Next up is our annual Downtown Spring Clean-up on Saturday, April 22nd from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. Bring your cleaning and gardening tools and lend a hand in doing a clean-sweep of 12 blocks in our downtown district!If this sounds like fun to you, give us a call so we can put you on our volunteer list, which helps us determine block assignments for the morning.This a perfect project for youth groups and service clubs or groups! New this year, we will gather at our office (514 Monterey Street) for check-in and logistics as the “Walk a Mile in her Shoes” event will be taking place on the 400 block while we are busy cleaning. We invite you to come downtown and join us for a wonderful day!
May brings our ever popular Downtown Wine and Beer Stroll, to be held downtown from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 6. We are planning 20+ stops of wine and beer tasting in our downtown member businesses again this year. You will not want to miss this event!(It is known to sell out so make sure that you get your tickets early.) This tasting event gathers our best local wineries and breweries and makes for a fantastic afternoon in downtown Hollister where we hope that you will stay for a little shopping and have dinner in one of our downtown restaurants.
