CELEBRATE THE SEASON WITH YOUR ACTS OF KINDNESS!
The Hollister Downtown Association will present the 26th Annual Lights On Celebration on Saturday, November 26, 2016, a wonderful family-friendly, community event that brings 10,000 people to our downtown. As part of the Celebration, the Acts of Kindness Program brings the story of Jaime the Elf and her encouragement for all of us to do our own Acts of Kindness to usher in the holiday season. In the story, Jaime is given the task of lighting downtown Hollister, but she struggles to find acts of kindness that will illuminate the tiny Christmas lights. Through a timely friendship, Jaime learns that it only takes one caring person to start a wave of kindness.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR ACT OF KINDNESS!
The Acts of Kindness Program is open to everyone: children, adults, businesses, clubs and families. It's simple: tell us about your Act of Kindness. Post a comment, photo or video on the Lights On Celebration Facebook page. Challenge your friends and fellow businesses join in the fun! It's the perfect family activity to begin the Holiday Season. There are so many kind people doing wonderful things for our community. Let's shine a light on them and then watch the Parade to see how many Acts of Kindness take place!
Eight Acts of Kindness All Stars will be randomly selected to walk in the Lights On Celebration Parade as Jaime’s Escorts on Tuesday, November 8 at 5:00pm!
The Jaime the Elf story is read in participating classrooms and clubs throughout San Benito County and is available on the HDA's Lights On Celebration webpage by clicking the link below.
